3Ds Max
Progression
First I loaded the revitt file in 3Ds max and then set up the screen view. Afterwards I added in the sun and started positioning it. Then i placed a camera for the interior view and copied the camera and moved it to the exterior. Then I added water material to the swimming pool.

The camera angles and the position, lens size and everything is being modified according to what view looks better.

For a true grass texture effect, Hair and bristles tool was used in the landscaping topograpgy part of the model. The length, glossiness, shape, density and color were adjusted to give it more of a realistic look. As for the material, I used Bitmap and imported a grass texture photo from google to be used as the grass material.

The exterior camera view was rendered as a test render to see how long it takes to render after adjusting the rendering setup. As seen. the grass looks too tall and unrealistic, so it needs to be adjusted again, but the water rendered nicely.

The water material was changed to swimming pool water by going to water instead of arch & design in the material editor. Deck material, the exterior tile material and some more interior materials were added as you can see, and each of these materials has been modified further to match the look of the actual house. After that I tried to render preview to see how it looks all together.

Since my exterior view is angled and has topography, I wanted a plain background with no sky or ground, so I tried inserting the actual photo of a skyline I wanted as the background, but for some reason it was not showing up in the render preview.

But when Mr Sky is turned off, the sun rays seem to become too harsh and the shadow get too dark. As seen in the preview box, one side of my model is completely dark. So I activated Mr Sky after this again and decided to render it with the sky and edit in the background in Photoshop.

Checking the render preview of the interior to see how all the materials look all together, and how the light lit up too.As seen, in the little render box, the lights seem to white and bright.

My living room couch and the exterior railing handle got grouped together while modeling in revitt, causing me the problem that if I apply a fabric material to the couch, it will also make the handrail to be made out of fabric. But since I have 2 separate files for the interior and exterior, I hide the handrail and couch group.

As seen, the exterior wooden handrail is no longer there, along with the wooden couch. Instead I downloaded and 3ds couch model from GrabCad and inserted it in the project. Then I changed the material to fit in the color pallet of the room more.

Rendering the Final interior and editing the render settings once again.

To make the interior more intresting, a few vases and chandeliers and lamps were added from GrabCad, and in those chandeliers, lights were added and adjusted manually.

The sun position was being changed so that I can get a nice visible sun rays and reflection in the interior and get a view of the exterior pool and deck because of the curtain wall and glass doors. but adjusting it was hard, as the indoor daylight and outdoor daylights have 2 very different drastic results. So i tried to put the sun in a position from where the deck would be visible, hence I kept rendering the top view to see how overexposed or under exposed the outdoor was with each sun position. at the end I went with the sun position that in show the top view that is shown below.

The sun position can be seen below, this was used to achieve the sun rays that will be later on seen in my final render.

The light settings are being modified so that it looks less white and more like a spotlight like the original house.

The lights added manually to the chandelier are being edited too, so that the light spreads out more and also has the same tint/color as the spotlights on the ceiling.

The frosted glass Concealed the fact that the exterior is over exposed but at the same time, the deck and the pool is also a little visible. The lamp looks 2D and the wooden floor and the reflection was looking very pixelated and rough instead of glossy. Also the ceiling lights were not looking like spotlights due to the frosted glass casing. So I decided to remove and change all these problems and render again.

After all the changes were made, this is what the final rendering looked like.

This is the exterior final rendering. And I strategically made the sun position such that the shadow falls on the topography itself and I wont need a separate plane, nor will i need to render the shadow properly.

This is the final outcome of the exterior after photoshoping in the background, the bushes and tress and the human figures. The photoshop file has been added in the google drive as well.

This is the final outcome of the interior. I photoshoped in a human figure sitting on the couch and I added Light lays to all the ceiling lights and the chandelier using the brush tool. The photoshop file has been added in the google drive link given at the top of the page.
